A new batch of diesel fuel from the United States has recently delivered to Latvia. According to the Consulting Group "A-95," this shipment, totaling 40,000 tons, arrived from the United States at the beginning of September. The most interesting thing is that this is the third replenishment of Latvia's stocks with American diesel fuel this year. The vessel Sea Caelum was loaded at the Marathon Garyville Refinery terminal and set sail for Riga, where it arrived on September 10th.
This energy "guest" on Latvian shores shows the importance and unpredictability of the global oil products market. The previous shipment of 33,000 tonnes of diesel fuel from the US Marathon refinery in Garyville had already arrived in Latvia in mid-summer, and the bulk of this fuel was sold on the Ukrainian market. According to the "A-95" Consulting Group, Latvian companies delivered 19,300 tons of diesel fuel to Ukraine, certified as originating from the USA.
It's also noteworthy that Polish ports have recently received a significant shipment of American diesel fuel totaling 173,000 tons, shipped from US refineries. Another batch of 37,000 tons from the Marathon Valero Refinery arrived on September 1st at the fuel terminal in Gdynia. This was announced by Unimot, the company that owns this resource.
